Sock Puppets

One Sunday after family nap time, Haley and Logan asked if they could make sock puppets. My inital inclination was to say no, because I didn't want to clean up the mess, but then I thought well why not. So Haley, Logan and I made sock puppets and we had a great time.

We also had some interesting puppet shows.

Here is Logan rock climbing. If you can see the gate on the top of the left hand side, that is the second floor. So he was getting pretty far up. He made it past the black line.

End of summer party

I had a end of summer/back to school party for Haley and the girls from her class at church. Of the 5 girls in her class 4 of them came and we had a good time. I made these pencil toppers to give to the girls. I thought they turned out good.

We had pizza, then painted rocks with crayons, made tiedye butterflies, played freeze dance, decorated notebooks and decorated rice krispie treats for dessert.

I also took Haley to get her toes done. They call them glitter toes, and they are done with a gel. They turned out very cute.

7 months old

Or should I title it:
I'VE SURVIVED 7 MONTHS WITH 4 KIDS!
Derek has actually been a pretty easy baby. The only problem we had was cutting his two front teeth gave him an ear infection. I just move him from floor, to high chair, to bumbo, to exersaucer to nap. He rarely gets really cranky. Likes to laugh, roll around and play with laundry and toys.

Playing with my laundry.

His one hang-up has been bath's. He has never liked baths.
He has been okay with showers though.

He fell asleep in his bumbo. So cute!

He is finally starting to get hair. Kevin calls him a fuzzball. Notice his 2 cute teeth.

Yep, he's playing with dolls.

Look at the size of that mouth.

The better to smile at you with.

He's definitely a keeper.

Random pics from July

Enjoying ice cream at Artic Circle.
Found Isaac asleep like this one night. By the way, this is why his bed is still on the ground and not on the bed frame we bought for him.

Asleep at nap time.

Monkeying around.

I like how he looks like an airplane.

In his new sleeping bag.

Haley's new sleeping bag.

They fell asleep in our bed and this is how we found them. This is why we stopped letting them get into our bed in the middle of the night.

The most wonderful lunch the most bestest husband in the world made for me. Fancy huh! He can cook for me anytime.

Summer Fun

The kids like to put the slide in the pool and then dump water on the slide to they go down easier.

I look down and find Logan lying on the cement with Haley standing over him. They were drawing chalk outlines of each other.

Isaac was a little more nervous about it.

Basketball

Since we've been married, Kevin has wanted a basketball hoop at our house. Well he finally got one 8 1/2 years later. He and the kids put it all together and we now have a great basketball hoop in our backyard. I'm sure there will be some great games of HORSE and "21" to come. Plus we can start training our future Cougar basketball stars :)

Summer Storms

Over the last week we've had some wonderful storms. It's been a lot of fun.
Haley and Logan enjoying the rain.

It started to hail while they were out there.

We had met Kevin for dinner after work. He left before us because he had to go to Young Men's. On the way home he called me and said he was in a really bad hailstorm. We missed the hailstorm, but when we got home the ice was still there.

That night we watched some lightning storms from our deck and Kevin took some great pictures.
