New Toy

This is the toy Great Grandma and Great Grandpa got Isaac for Christmas...and he loves it. Thanks Great Grandpa and Grandma. We love you.

Snowtime Fun

My kids love to go sledding. We are very lucky because at the end of our street (4 houses and 1 church away) we have a retention pond that is perfect for sledding. Here are the kids having fun with their daddy while I was home cleaning house with Isaac.

"Ikey" is 11 months

"Ikey" is what Haley calls him.

Wow can you believe it. My little baby is 11 months old. He is an amazing part of our family. He is so sweet. He loves to give everyone kisses. He learned to turn himself around and scoot down the stairs. Isaac loves to wrestle. If you lay on the floor he is guaranteed to crawl on your face and yell in victory. He loves to eat. He eats a waffle every morning for breakfast. He likes to sit in front of the basketball hoop and throw a ball at it. He seems to be smarter than we realize (of course I'm sure all moms think that about their kids.) Last night I told Haley to go upstairs to have ice cream, before she even moved, Isaac looked at me smiled and headed upstairs to wait for his. His favorite thing is to play downstairs in the toy room with the kids. When they want to come up they bring him, and if he's not done he gets really upset and yells for them to go back downstairs with them.

We love having him, I can't believe he's going to be 1 next month.

We were eating lunch at Sam's Club the other day, and Haley said "I want to work at this store when I grow up" I asked her why, and she said "so I can climb that ladder over there" She then pointed to a little step ladder. At least she had a reason.

Haley's favorite thing to do with Grandma was listen to her tell stories. Haley loved it. I think Grandma ran out of stories before Haley got tired of listening.

Poor Isaac didn't give a good showing when Grandma and Grandpa were here. He cut a new tooth and got an ear infection. He shaped up towards the end.

We weren't too good at the nap thing while everyone was here. My kids grabbed naps whenever and wherever they could.

Logan wanted to wear a tie like his daddy. I had to have Grandpa tie it for him, since I haven't learned how yet. Guess I should with 2 boys around.

Something I never thought I'd see. My 6'8" 69 year old Father-in-law, playing Bucking Bronco. It's very hard to tell Haley no.

Big shoes

These boots arrived in the mail from Mom the other day. When Logan saw them he got very excited, put them on the ground and started jumping around yelling "Yeah I got big shoes"and I thought great my son loves shoes.

The next day I was putting these shoes on him and he said to me, "One day can I take these big shoes to go on rides" and then I realized why he was so excited to get these "big shoes"

A couple of months before our trip to CA, Kevin was measuring the kids to see how tall they were and what rides they could go on. Well Logan was just barely too short for the roller coasters and Kevin told him that maybe if he wore "big shoes" he would be tall enough to go on the roller coasters. Unfortunately, no matter what shoes we put on him, he was still a little to short. Now that he has 'big shoes', he is sure that he is tall enough and wants to go back to Disney.

Christmas (finally)

For about 2 months the only thins Haley asked for for Christmas was Dora underwear and new socks. We don't know why. Here she is with her new panties.

Because Haley was asking for Dora panties, Logan started asking for Diego "panties" one day we'll teach him it's called underwear. Anyways because Logan isn't potty trained Santa wasn't going to bring him any for Christmas. Christmas Eve Logan was going on and on about new Diego panties and he was so excited, that Santa's elf had to go out and pick some up.

We did Santa presents, then I made French Toast with some wonderful bread from Kneaders. Afterwards we opened all the presents under the tree. The rest of the day we played games, relaxed, and of course ate a delicious ham dinner.

Christmas Eve

Here it is Jan. 7th and I'm just getting to my Holiday blogs. Life has been a little busy. Christmas Eve was great. Kevin's parents were here and Dallin, Katie and Nathan came over. We had taco soup and potato cheese soup with homemade rolls for dinner.

We started a new family tradition of new pajamas on Christmas Eve. (Issac's aren't new, but what does he know.)

While I was putting Haley and Logan to bed the rest of the fam, put on a little play for the kids. They rang some jingle bells and started talking. Logan got scared and Haley didn't know what to think. I took them to the top of the stairs where they could here better. Dad was Santa and Mom was a reindeer. They had a conversation about whether the kids were good, or bad etc.. and then an elf told Santa that the kids were still awake so they better leave without leaving presents. I thought Haley was going to cry she ran downstairs so fast and jumped into bed. Then Kevin came and told them what he heard them say and that Santa said he would go to some other houses and them come back to see if the kids were asleep. It was really cute. I would like to video it next year and get a microphone so the kids can hear it better.

Christmas Eve was rough on the little guy.

Quote of the day

Logan was sick last night and up most of the night. This morning we were laying in bed and Kevin asked Logan how his tummy was and Logan said "it feels like a salad." Kevin said "it feels like a salad?" and Logan said "yes, but I like hot dogs."

More December fun

Forgive all the posts....but we've had a very busy fun December and I want to show them all.

They love it! We couldn't get them to come in the house even though their cheeks were icy.

These are the Christmas plates I made for our neighbors and friends. They were very good, and I was quite proud of myself. This is the first time I've been able to do it. Nutter Butter Reindeer, Lemon cupcakes, snickerdoodles, Texas Sheet Cake, and Peppermint Bark. Yummy Yummy!

They would line up all the things from the set that had metal on them, and move them through the line for the crane (which has a magnet) to pick up. Then they would trade and take turns. I asked Haley if they were ready for lunch and she said "We're hungry but we are having too much fun to eat." Thanks Great Grandma and Great Grandpa for the great gifts.

More Disneyland fun

This is a little out of order..Haley and Maddison on the roller coaster at Disneyland. Logan is sitting behind them with Tami. The power hungry chick working the ride wouldn't even let me turn my head to look at them and make sure I was filming right. She even got on the loud speaker during the ride and told me to turn around.

Back home for Christmas

Since Dallin and Katie didn't meet us in Vegas, we had to find another way to get Mom and Dad back to our house. Thanks to Melinda's brilliant idea, Isaac and I flew home and Kevin, Mom, Dad, Haley and Logan drove home. Dallin and Katie picked me up and made us dinner, which we were very grateful for. I shoveled the entire driveway and walk, so nobody would slip when they got home. After all my hard work this is what our house looked like the next day.

This is Monday night, I had cleared the entire driveway Sunday.

We were pretty much snowed in all day. Kevin came home early from work and almost didn't make it.
