Christmas 2012

Ahhh Christmas Morning....I remember not being able to sleep when I was little because I was soooo excited for Christmas morning, and now I still can't sleep because now there is soooo much work to do before Christmas morning, but it is worth it to see their faces.

The loot left by Santa Claus.
We told the kids they could not come wake us up before 7 am.  Then we make them wait around while we wake up, get dressed and slowly build their anticipation.  Then it's pictures, then we finally let them head down the stairs.

I think they were both happy with their presents.

He sat here playing with his dinosaur and then looks at me and says "I asked for a truck" so I showed him his truck and it was all good again.
 The ultimate track.

After Santa presents I went upstairs to make our Christmas morning French Toast.  After breakfast, Kevin, Tyler and I took a nap while the kids watched a new movie and played with their toys.  I then let the kids have Peppermint Ice Cream Dessert for lunch while we waited for daddy to wake up.  Then it was on to round 2 of presents.  The mound under the Christmas Tree.

We were able to get through several presents while Tyler did his best to unwrap his.

It was a wonderful day. We all agreed it was probably the best Christmas we've had as a family.  It was fun and relaxing and we enjoyed being together.

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we played Minute to Win it games.

Use the tweezers to move the tic tac from one bowl to the other.
You had to use the tennis ball to knock over the towers.  Derek insisted on playing all the games, and he was quite good.

Separate the money into the correct piles in a minute.
Stack the nuts.  This one was a little hard so we let them use their hands.

Get the red fuzzy ball to stick to the vaseline on their nose.
Stack the cups with one hand.
put the eggs in the order of lightest to heaviest.  (filled with pennies in increments of 5)
Blow the egg across the floor.

Transfer the cotton balls from one bowl to the other using only your vaseline covered nose.

The kids all opened their presents from us, which are always pajamas.  Isaac opened his first, and after opening his present he looked at his pajamas, and he asked "who are they for?"  When we told him they were his he got very excited.

 A little punch drunk :)
Derek all night asked to play Don't Eat Pete.
It was a fun and tiring night.

Christmas Sunday Pics

Tyler finally found the Christmas presents
Some quick family pics before Church.  Yes I know Ty isn't wearing any socks, but he just won't keep them on.
