basement

After several months, a lot of headaches, crazy kids, and too many decisions the basement is FINISHED (and in some need of decorating.)

This is the half of the basement that was finished when we moved in.  (View from the stairs) It was a HUGE family room with a wall and door separating it from the part that wasn't finished.  We would come down the stairs and enter straight into this room.  The first thing we did was to get rid of this wall and to move it about 10 feet in to make the family room smaller, we also changed it to double doors.
So now when you come down the stairs you enter in on the other side of the wall and it opens into a huge great room.  The far edge of the fireplace is where the old wall used to be.

We angeled the wall and put in an audio cabinet and an alcove.
Down the hallway you have the bathroom and the guest bedroom on the right and a storage closet and craft room on the left.
 Guest bedroom
 Craft room

 Kitchenette and Linen closet.
We decided on a stand alone shower, but it is as big as if there was a tub.  we also have a corner sitting bench.

Looking from the old family room into the Big room.  We've already put the Foosball table and Ping Pong Table in.  We also have an arcade style double basket ball hoop and have room to eventually get a pool table.  The kids love running around it and playing.

March part 2

Don't need to say anything about this pic.
I went to the first grade donut date with with Logan in his classroom.  We asked him who he wanted to go, me or Kevin, and he said "Mom, because then it's like she gets an hour off of work."
Haley all ready for her 3rd grade performace.  Daddy wasn't happy that she was wearing Make-up

I didn't realize that my laundry made a good chair.  Tyler loves walking around with cords.
The cougars made it to the NIT and were able to host a couple of games.  We were able to get 8th row half court seats.  Haley went with us to one of the games.  Bill Walton was announcing the game.  He's the really tall guy with the headphones on.

We were on our way home and Derek said he wanted another picnic for lunch.  So I gave in.  It's MUCH easier that way.
One morning I brought Tyler out from bed and Haley was already eating and he reached right for her and then helped her eat her breakfast.

March Part 1

We went to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate Tyler and Isacc's birthdays.

Easter Crafts.

Haley made this chick all by herself.

Tyler enjoyed the BBQ sauce from McDonald's

Tyler learned to walk.
and then he learned to get into everything.

His path of destruction.

Kevin won tickets from work to go to the Jazz game.  It came with a buffet dinner at the One Hundred club.   With crab legs, prime rib, turkey all kinds of delicious food, halftime snacks and 5th row tickets.   Jeff Hornacek is in the above picture.

 Haley is growing up.
We had a nice day so the boys and I decided to have a picnic lunch in the front yard.  Funny story.  I had been craving thai food and so on the way to the store I called and ordered myself some to pick up on the way home.  By the time we were done with the store I had forgotten about it and picked up the McD's instead.  I didn't remember until a few days later when I was driving past it on Main Street.
 yep, into everything.
 He likes the trampoline.
Derek is as crazy as ever.

Tylers 1st birthday

 Donuts's for breakfast.
 Ty the Tiger.
The movie Rio.  Little did I know this would be a favorite with my kids, and they have watched it almost every day since.

Unfortunately Tyler was sick and really didn't enjoy his birthday very much (don't believe the pics.)  This toy from Grandma Smith scared him.  Ernie talked when you pushed his nose and Ty would scream.  Of course we tortured him by doing it over and over again.
His birthday cupcake. He was trying to grab his cupcake while we sang to him, and he was not happy about waiting.  Did I mention he is stubborn.

He really loves his Ice Cream.
