Mommy and Logan date

Kevin was out of town so I took Logan to a very anticipated BYU/ Iowa St basketball game.
This was how it looked when the game was going well.  He really wanted to see Mika dunk and he wasn't disappointed.
The end of the game was very close and Logan wanted to leave because he can't handle a close game.  Everyone around him was standing, but he couldn't.

Unfortunately we lost a very close game.

november wrap-up

Tyler loves chips.  They are his favorite food, unfortunately.  I bought this bag of chips so that I could try the new flavor and next thing I know he had finished the bag, crumbs and everything.
 fat baby
Boys pretending to have a wonderful phone conversation.
Logan made an AAU club basketball team.
 just too cute.
Tyler was reading a book in my bed after his nap.
Haley has been going to a craft and cooking club.  This is a plate of goodies.
Haley had to do an autobiographical book report and we picked a book about Bill Peet and she had to dress up as him.  We borrowed a vest from our neighbor and at first Haley didn't want to wear it because she said it smelled like our neighbor Noah, who is a 10 year old boy.
 Nap time.
I got to help at Isaac's kindergarten thanksgiving feast.
Tyler enjoyed his Thanksgiving dinner.  He's licking the plate clean.
Our snake has gotten really big.
Isaac went with Kevin and I to the BYU/Utah st basketball game at Energy Solutions Arena.

Logan's broken arm

Logan went to a birthday party on Saturday.  When I picked him up from the party, the mom came out and told me that Logan had hurt his harm playing a game of 500 (a football game).  She wasn't sure if he was really hurt or if he just wanted to be home, but after he fell on his arm his attitude changed and he became withdrawn.  When I got him home we had him move his arm all around and he seemed fine and never cried so we gave him some medicine and let him rest. That afternoon he played a little football with the boys, but he always kept his arm against his body.  On Sunday morning it was still hurting so after sacrament meeting Melinda, Tyler and I took Logan to Urgent Care.  I told Logan they were going to take an x-ray and he became nervous because he said x-rays hurt.  I explained to him how they worked.  The only x-ray he had ever had was at the Dentist and I'll admit those are uncomfortable.  The Dr came in and looked and said he was pretty sure it wasn't broken, but we were going to do x-rays just in case because he'd been wrong before.  And sure enough, he had a green stick fracture of both the ulna and radius (meaning they were bent, but not broken).  The worst part was that Logan had just started piano and had just made a club basketball team.

 Getting his splint on.

We kept Tyler happy by letting him play with my phone.  He likes taking pictures of himself.

His cast.  He only had to keep it on for 3 weeks, and it didn't stop him much.  He still went to his basketball practice 2x a week and played football with his brothers.
Aunt Tami sent him a present of a snuggie, a monkey and some sharpies so he could get his cast signed.  Grandma and Grandpa Smith also sent him an Angry Bird game.

Isaac and Jr. Jazz Basketball

Isaac played his first year of basketball.  He did really well and had a lot of fun.  His only problem was that he likes to shoot "3 pointers"  so he would shoot from farther away then he should.
Game Stats:
Game 1: 16 points
Game 2: 4 points
Game 3: 10 points (isaac says 11, he claims one of his shots was a 3 pointer)
Game 4: 12 points (although again he claims 13.  He also claims their team won 39-10 - they don't keep score, but Ike does)
Game 5: 2 points
Game 6: 6 points
Game 7: 16 points
Game 8: 6 points and a steal. Two of his baskets were buzzer beaters which is a big deal for my clock watcher.

A visit with Melinda and her family

Lauri helped Derek make a bed.
Chandler and Tyler played pretty well together.

 Breakfast a t McDonald's

 Chuck E Cheese.
Trafalga.  Tyler's first time on Frog Hopper.
Tyler and Chandler both pulled chairs up to the counter to help cook dinner.

daddy daughter date

Kevin and Haley took a day to go 4 wheeling up the canyon.  It was cold but they had a lot of fun.  Haley even got to drive some of the time (she aimed straight for the edge of the cliff).

fall leaves

The kids helped Kevin make a small leaf pile and then spent the afternoon jumping in the leaves.
