The kids set themselves up to watch a movie.

I went into check on Isaac during nap time and found him asleep like this. He didn't have any of these toys in his bed when I put him down. He is very funny in his bed. He will not get out of his bed at all once he has been put in there. So all of these toys were within reach from his bed. In the morning he lays in his bed and talks until I get him. His bed is on the ground so he can't fall out, so it's easy to get in and out, but he won't ever get out. It cracks me up.

March MADness

Last night Kevin, Derek and I went to the sweet sixteen NCAA tournament games in Salt Lake. We love watching March Madness and bought these tickets last June and had been really looking forward to going. Lo and Behold when we got there they told us our 2 month old baby had to have a full price ticket. So with no other options on hand we bought a ticket for Derek from a scalper. As you can tell Derek wasn't very happy about us having to buy him a ticket.

Enjoying some of Momma's attention. I was changing his diaper in the Ladies room and there were a couple of women tlaking to him and he started laughing. I was so surprised because I had never heard him do that before. I guess that's what you get when you give him some attention.

He was being a little cranky so between games (we got to see 2 of them) I put some blankets on the ground and laid him down. He was so much happier until the next game started and then he didn't like the noise. I guess he just wanted to stretch.

I had him underneath our seats.

Enjoying the game. The second game went into double OT with a couple of buzzer beaters that were fun to watch. We saw Kansas State vs. Xavier and Syracuse vs. Butler.
(This picture is actually pretty cool, If you make it bigger you can actually see them jumping for the ball)

2 months old

Derek is now 2 months old and quite the chunker. He is 13 lbs, and 23.25 in. My doctor gives me handouts with the kids stats on them, and I keep all of them. So it is fun to look back and compare all the kids.

This is a picture of Isaac at two months. He was 11 lbs 14 oz and 22.5 in.

Here is Logan at 2 months. He was 11lbs 1 oz and 23 .25 in.

Haley at 2 months was 12 lbs 1 oz and 23 in.

Good big brother

I was busy doing something and had left the baby on the couch. He was fussing a little and when I came out Isaac was reading him a dinosaur book to try to make him happy.

queen for a day

Haley made herself this crown yesterday after school. She was very proud of herself. She wore the crown all night long and when she came downstairs this morning she had put it back on and wore it until she went to school.
She was sad because we didn't have any jewels she could put on it.
She wrote on it "Haley Alise Smith I mad it a crown"

Isaac turns 2

He's 2. They grow up so fast. He is the most independent kid I know. He loves to go in his room and just play. He is very boy, loves trains and cars. Haley is probably his favorite person. Every day in the car as she is getting out to go to school he yells "Tiss Tiss" (kiss) until she gives him one. If he is ever crying (which is not very often) she is the first one he goes to, and then he makes the rounds until EVERYONE has hugged him and then he is done crying. If he gets hurt he immediately stops crying after you've kissed his owie. He is just a happy kid.
Jello is one of his favorite foods so I made Jello cups for his birthday (we have so many birthdays this time of year and Logan can't eat eggs, so I have to get creative for variety) when he saw the candles he said "Fire blow" and tried to blow.

Thanks to everyone who sent presents. He loved them. Haley and Logan were upset that they didn't buy him presents so they both went upstairs and picked something for him and wrapped them in blankets for him to open.

He is saying "Choo Choo"
