This is a big birthday for Haley. It is definitely a milestone birthday. She gets to be Baptized and we are so excited for her. She also gets to start going to Activity Days. Haley is so grown up. She takes such good care of Derek. They are very close. She is still very much a Daddy's girl. She will do anything with him, work in the yard, go on a drive, go to the store. Her favorite is when he goes upstairs with them at night and tells them stories when they are in bed. This year on their birthdays we asked each of the kids a list of questions. We are going to do this every year so we can see how their answers change. She thought it was so much fun. She kept wanting us to ask her more questions. One of my favorite things is how well all 4 of the kids play together. An example of how well she takes care of Derek. When we were staying in the hotel we got 2 rooms, and in one room was Haley, Derek Tyler, and Me. Haley and Derek were sharing a bed. He woke up several times during the night and every time he did she woke up and held him and calmed him and got him back to sleep. It was very sweet.
This is the morning of her birthday. Her birthday was during spring break. Here she is getting ready to open a couple of presents, while I was waiting to take Tyler to the Dr.s (he ended up with an ear infection). We also were leaving that day to take a trip to Vernal.A present from Daddy. She loves musicals. They are her favorite shows. She also got Annie for her birthday.
A present from Grandma. We took the 3 hour drive to Vernal. And we listened to Les Miserables on the way up, at Haley's request, with Daddy explaining the story as we listened.
We went straight to the Dinosaur Museum in Vernal.
Then cupcakes at the hotel. I think Kohlers did a great job on the cupcake cake. Of course Haley wanted the one in the middle.
We took a short hike to see some petroglyphs.
Then we did some swimming after dinner (in the new swimsuit from Aunt Tami). I think she had a pretty good birthday.
A song book engraved with her name from Aunt Melinda
Money from great grandma
McDonalds gift cards from Aunt Lisa.
