Haley's Baptism

Our beautiful baby girl Haley was Baptized de Cinco de Mayo.  We were so excited for her to make this big step in her life.  She kept saying how "nervousing" she was.  She didn't want to have to do it twice.  It was a stake Baptism and the Stake Primary Presidency has all the kids getting Baptized come up and one my one they spotlight them, then that kid gets to go sit down.  Haley, being so shy, didn't want to go up, but she did.  One by one the kids sat down and with each one Haley got more frustrated.  It was down to 2 of them left, and when they said the other kids name Haley threw her hands up in the air and said "Ughhhhh"  It was hilarious.  Sister Fano turned to her and said don't worry you're next. Aunt Traci made the towel for her.  When she used it after she was baptized she says "Ohh it's so soft"
We were very greatful to have Grandma Burnham, Aunt Traci, Aunt Tami, Kati, Great Aunt Linda, Maddison, Amanda, Tyler, Katie and Miranda Reese, at Haley's Baptism.
It was a Stake Baptism and our ward was the Second to last to go.  We were waiting in the chapel for a long time.  Kevin said Haley was getting to anxious she was getting hyper so Kevin took her out to the hallway to practice and calm her down.
The Bishop usually asks the moms to bear their testimony after the child has been confirmed.  Knowing this, on the way to the church Haley says to me "Are you going to cry?  I hope not because it's embarassing."  But of course I did.
Doesn't she look scared to death.  We told her she couldn't mess up, only daddy could.

Afterwards we went to Toucano's, which is Haley's favorite restaurant.

Some presents Haley got.  A necklace and some earrings from Kayla.

A shirt from Aunt Linda.

A figurine from Grandma Burnham
A hymn book from Aunt Melinda which matches the new scriptures we got her.
A precious moment from Great Grandmas collection.  Aunt Tami and Maddison got Haley a journal and some pens that Haley and I use for our Mommy and me journal, which Haley adores doing.

Logan's Kindergarten field trip

I was lucky enough to be able to go on Logan's field trip with him to the Thanksgiving Point Farm.

It was extremely windy that day and Logan kept complaining about the dirt in his eyes, so I let him wear my glasses.

May happenings

A little fun with the boys!  Baking soda, vinegar, food coloring and an eye dropper.

 Microwaved Ivory soap.

Dressing up for a oretend wedding.  The princess and the cowboy.

vernal

We took a trip during spring break to Vernal, Ut.  It was a very interesting trip.  It started with me being up all night with Tyler and going to the first Dr. appt in the morning to find out he had an ear infection. It was also Haley's birthday so we opened up some presents and loaded the rest up with  our luggage.  On our way out of town we had to stop and pick up Haley's cupcakes and Tyler's medicine.  We ate lunch in Heber at Dairy Keen, and then for Haley we listened to Les Miserables on the way, with frequent interruptions from Kevin to explain the story.  We got to Vernal and the first thing we did was go to the Dinosaur Museum.

We then to a short walk to see some petroglyphs on the wall.  (it was actually a steep walk so Tyler and I stayed in the car.
Dinner was at Golden Corral, where they sang to Haley.  By this time Logan was having a bad allergic reaction and his nose was running, eyes puffy and he just looked miserable.
Before bed we went swimming. We had to reserve two hotel rooms to fit our family.  We were split up with Kevin, Logan and Isaac in one room, and Haley, Derek, Tyler and I in another.  Kevin was awake all night listening to Logan's gurggly breathing with his allergies.  In my room Derek woke up several times crying.  Haley did a really good job getting him back to sleep but eventually he ended up in my bed with Tyler and I.
The next morning we went to McDonalds for breakfast and then we ran to Subway to pick up stuff for lunch.  When we got to Subway the kids asked why we were there  and I said for lunch and they got very upset, because we had just ate.  We went to the Dinosuar National Park and it was really cool.  We met at the Visitors center and then they took us up to a building and gave us a tour.  In the building was a wall that still had Dinosaur bones in the dirt.  It was really neat to see these real bones that hadn't been dug out yet.  They had built the building around it to preserve the find.
A skull at the top in the middle.

 Leg bone.

The kids all did the Junior Ranger activities and got a badge.

A home in the park that was lived in by a single women until she was in her 80s
Of course no vacation is complete until we've stuck our kids in a rock.
 Climbing around.

Swimming again after dinner at a mexican restaurant.  Again not a very good nights sleep.  In fact Kevin and I talked for a while in the hallway so the kids could fall asleep.  I was up by 6 and due to a storm the hotel had no power which made for an interesting morning.  Then it was back on the road home finishing up Les Miserables.
