Bryce Canon

Our next day trip was into Bryce Canyon. Bryce was absolutely spectacular. I don't know which of the three parks were my favorite. They were all so different.

Kevin, Haley, Logan and I went on a hike called Navajo loop. It was a very steep hike, .7 miles down and .6 miles back up. It was such beautiful scenery. Thanks mom and dad for watching the two little boys. We could not have done the hike with them.

This is how we found mom after our hike. I guess Derek was a little heavy. The funny part was watching people look at them as they walked by. Some lady even stopped to take mom's picture.

Duck Creek Cabin

I built a day into our vacation for just hanging aroundthe cabin. It actually ended up being one of our busiest days, and probably one of the kids favorites.
Haley and Kevin woke up first and went on a morning hike. When they got back Logan was awake and wanted to go on his morning hike. So he and Kevin went and while they were out hiking they almost got ran over by a buck racing through the trees.

Then we all went to Mirror Lake so Kevin, Dad and the kids could fish.

While we were walking around the lake looking for Dad, (He was supposed to be at the lake, but we found him down the river) Isaac kept picking up these sticks so he could throw them in the water. Grandma was nice enough to carry them for him.

After lunch we put the two youngest down for a nap and Kevin and I took Haley and Logan horseback riding. This was so much fun riding through the mountains. Anytime I got the horse to run a little Haley just started laughing.

Haley's horse was Charlie and Logan's was Thirty-six.

For dinner we had a campfire and made hot dogs.

and of course smores.

Then to Navajo Lake for some dusk fishing.

Finally ready for bed, wearing the new pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa.

Zion National Park

We met mom and dad in Toquerville in the morning so we could all go into Zion together.

Now when you go into Zion, you have to take a shuttle and they drop you off at different spots in the park and you can hike or take pictures from those spots.

We took a hike on the Riverside walk. It was a nice easy stroll along the side of the river inbetween cliffs.

This was the end of the walk. The kids and Kevin took off their shoes and walked in the freezing water. Isaac's feet were bright red when they were done.

For all of our pictures Kevin had the kids say, Papa is a monkey. Isaac climbed on this rock for a picture, just because he wanted to say "Papa is a monkey".

Weeping Rock. The kids wanted to know why the rock was crying. They decided it was because the rock was sad because he didn't have any friends. So the rest of the day, Isaac kept saying "Rock cry, has no friends" He was very concerned.
