They decorated the train for Christmas and in each coach they had an elf, who read a story, walked around with a microphone and talked to people and led everyone in Christmas Carols. Some other elves passed out hot chocolate and cookies. We took the train to the "North Pole" where we picked up Santa Claus. He walked through and talked to all the kids. The ride was 90 min long. It was a very long night, but the kids really enjoyed it. They loved riding on a "choo choo train."

Heber City North Pole Express
Tuesday night we took the kids to the Heber City North Pole Express. We left to go up to Heber as soon as Haley got out of school. Unfortunately we got stuck on the freeway and missed our 5:00 ride. So Kevin called and changed our tickets to 7:30. We picked Kevin up and went to the Riverwoods to walk around and see the lights and then to dinner. We then headed up to Heber.

Thanksgiving
For Thanksgiving this year we had Dan, Melinda, Amanda, Lauri, Jenna, Jordan, and Amanda's boyfriend Tyler. This is the coldest Thanksgiving I remember. Wednesday the high was supposed to be 17. We usually don't get that kind of weather until January. On Wednesday Kevin, Melinda, and Logan went to the Jazz game. Logan watched every play and yelled defense. He even did math by basketball trying to figure out the score, they said free throws kind of screwed him up. . The jazz won and he had a great time. Thursday was Thanksgiving. Friday we went and saw Tangled and then went to Cafe Rio for Jordan's birthday. That night the girls went out for Jordan's birthday to get dessert. Saturday Dan, Melinda, Kevin and I went out to lunch. It was a great time!

Derek
Monster man Derek! Derek is almost 10 months old, and 22 lbs. He army crawls all over the place, and has just started pulling himself up. He is of course a momma's boy, like my other kids. He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. This morning Issac was walking around picking up any paper off the floor, saying "pick up trash before baby gets it". He has a beautiful smile and laugh. When the kids are playing up stairs he sits at the bottom and yells at them. The other night he cried until I took him upstairs and let him play with them. We love having the "baby" around. His favorite toy is these balls that Aunt Shelly gave him that have textures on them. He can palm the balls and then throws them. Other than that, he doesn't like baby toys, he just wants what the other kids have of course.
He claps, and he says "S" all the the time. He always thinks you are talking to him and he tries to talk back. He likes me to bounce my hand across his mouth as he makes noise so that it kind of vibrates. He has 6 teeth and he is finally getting hair! Yeah!

Halloween Party
We again got to go to Kevin's Work Halloween Party. This year they were very strict about only having 1000 people in the buildings at a time, so we had to wait in lines this year. It felt like Disneyland. While waiting in line though, they had clowns, popcorn, cotton candy, a band, the 1996 World Yo Yo Champion, and security dressed in Star Wars costumes. So much to see and do.

Haley was snow white. We got a lot of use out of this costume, she's worn it to 2 birthday parties, school, the work halloween party, and trick or treating.

Isaac the vampire. Unfortunately my camera was on the wrong setting so my pictures didn't turn out great.
