One of our few Sunny Days

We've had very few Sunny Spring Days. Lots of rain and cloudy days. We took the opportunity to go to a Ward Play date at the park.

Logan can finally do the monkey bars.

Derek was driving me crazy he would climb up the stairs, climb across the bridge and then walk to an opening and jump. Wether I was there or not. So I had to quickly get there and catch him so he wouldn't get hurt. We did it over and over and over again.

I went upstairs to check on the kids and found them all sitting like this just talking.

Dance recital

Haley's dance routine this year was to a song from the movie Tangled. Her teacher made their costumes and they looked so cute.

While we were at the rehearsal Isaac took off to be by himself and we went to the top of the bleachers and just watched the dances.

We were so happy Haley actually danced this year, unlike last year where she just kept moving to her "spot"
On the night of the recital, Haley's class had just started their routine when the entire Rec Center had a black out. The lights were out for at least 10 minutes. Then they got to start their routine again.
Haley with her friend. They are also in the same class at school, it made dance very fun for Haley.

After Haley's dance she ran to where I was sitting and was so excited because she had her first loose tooth!

Easter

This year this Easter Bunny left 3 clues for the kids to follow to get their Easter Baskets. One clue for each kid to follow to the next clue for another kid. The first clue was left in the cupboard with the cereal bowls. Logan comes running into our bedroom Easter morning "there was a note in my cereal bowl" we asked him what he thought it was, He didn't know so I read him the first line and he says " It must be from the Easter Bunny, and runs out of the room yelling for Haley and Isaac. They had fun following the clues.

Isaac found a creative use for his Easter Basket.

We had been so busy, that we didn't get to dye eggs until Sunday.

Our backyard is really fun for hiding Easter eggs. (In fact they just found 2 more eggs 1 1/2 weeks later...oops)

Haley turns 7

My Haley, my Haley, oh my Haley. You just gotta love her. She lives black and white. She even tells on her self, and make sure everyone abides by the rules (even me). Her and Logan are best friends. She loves being good. I think that is the most wonderful thing. She retains info and loves learning new things. Daddy is still and will always be her favorite. She loves to swim and has learned to ride a bike this year. She is taking dance. She loves to sing. She would rather be out and about then at home, and her favorited is to go out to eat. KFC is one of her favorites, along with Costco cheese Pizza and Toucanos Brazillian Restaurant, which she refers to as "the meat place" She has lots of friends in her class, but she loves adults! There are several women in our ward, that tell me she always says hi, and one she hugs every time she sees her. Her teachers love her because she is so good.

Playing Bingo for her birthday.

Haley loves to play games and we are excited that she is getting old enough to play more grown up games. Theres just no challenge in candy land.

Hat from Aunt Tami.

Tangled, which we then watched for family movie night on Haley's birthday. She LOVES family movie night.

Thanking her brother.

Making a birthday wish.

Haley wanted to get her dad back for smashing her face in cake, so we decided to put a large piece of cake on a plate so she could smash it on his face that way. She did it perfect. Right in the center of his face, and she didn't spill a crumb. He was so surprised. It took him a minute to figure out what was going on. It was a priceless moment.

Logan's 5th Birthday

Logan is 5. He is smart, funny, sweet. His favorite saying is "I'm bored, what can I do?"( which means can i play a video/computer game) He is very good at sports and he loves all of them. The other day he was out playing with Haley and Isaac and while Haley and Isaac were having a pretend campfire and playing with sticks, he was shooting the basketball. He (unfortunately) loves video games and is pretty good at them. Every night he reads the Book of Mormon with us and he gets a lot of the words. I could probably have him reading completely by now, but then what would they teach him in Kindergarten? :) He is definitely a perfectionist. He sometimes gets a few words of a song in his head and sing them for days. He also can be very proud of himself and likes to tell people how good he did something. He is full of energy, and enthusiasm and happiness. He also tries to make everyone else happy. One day I was cleaning the bathrooms and ask him if he wanted to play upstairs near me while I cleaned and he said "i'll tell you what while you clean the bathrooms, i'll clean the whole upstairs for you." and he did. He wants to be just like his dad. They have all the same favorites. He loves his Haley and whenever he gets a special treat he saves some for her, or makes sure she gets some of his. It'll be so fun watching him grow up and see who he becomes. I love him.

Blowing on some party favors.

We played stick the eye patch on the pirate.

Even Derek wanted to get in on the action.

Logan with his loot. We bought him this really cool fish balloon. (All my kids love to play with ballons)

A transformer Bumblee Mask

No Aunt Lisa you can't eat my ears!

But thanks for the gift card.

Some cash to spend on our vacation.

Logan picked out his birthday cake.

Haley kept pretending she was going to put her face in the cake, so Kevin helped her out. She thought it was hilarious, and immediately started planning how she was going to get him back.

He was so excited he even slept with his balloon. If you notice Isaac is in the bed too. We had a couple of nights where Isaac refused to sleep in his room, so we finally decided to move him into Haley and Logans room. Haley was ready to move into her own room, but Logan was not ready to have her leave so we put bunk beds in their room, and as soon as Logan is comfortable with Isaac in there we'll move Haley.
