Thanksgiving Point

I took Isaac, Derek and Tyler to Thanksgiving Point.  Derek hadn't been there since he could remember so it was fun seeing him get excited over the animals.  When we walked in with the Rabbits there was water on the floor and he kept saying "that gross mommy"

Of course they loved riding the horses.

Isaac wanted me to put gel in his hair, like Logan.

They had the baby goats separated so they were easier to feed because the bigger goats weren't pushing them out of the way.

Ikie's First soccer game

Isaac had his first ever soccer game this week.  He was so excited to play.  He is such a quiet kid.  He just got out there and played hard.  He made 8 goals in his game.  Afterwards he would just look at us and pump his fist.  At one point when he was out getting a break someone was telling him how well he was playing and he said it was because of his big brother who never got "beated" in a game.  He looks up to Logan.  Isaac played almost the whole game, because this being a bunch of 4 year olds some of the kids wouldn't go in and play.  Isaac didn't mind.

In all his pics where he is kicking the ball he has his mouth open or his tongue sticking out.

We were worried he might not be agressive.  Guess we won't have to worry about that.

The last week before school

with one week left until the start of school I decided to do something fun with the kids each Day.  On Saturday Kevin took them hiking.  On Monday I was sick with a cold.  Tuesday Amanda and I took the kids to the new swimming pool in Lehi.
They have a rock climbing wall in the water.
I was really impressed with the Haley and Logan, the first thing they did was jump off the tall diving board.  They had never been on a diving board before.

Derek could do the water slides all by himself.
That's Logan trying to dive off the low dive.
 Haley from the top.
Isaac earned all the kids a slushy by going down the fast slide by himself.  He told Kevin he went on it tons of times even though he didn't like it.  He did go a ton of times, but he also liked it.
On Wednesday, I took them to see Madagascar 3 where they got popcorn and sodas.  Afterwards we drove to meet daddy for lunch, but I didn't tell them where we were going or that we were meeting him.  As we were turning into the restaurant we passed Kevin's car and Haley says "that looks like daddy's car, that looks like daddy, that is daddy, turn around go back, Daddy."Then I let her know we were meeting him.
Our neighbor also took Haley and Logan and all the neighborhood kids to the park and bought them treats after.
On Thursday we went to the aquarium where the kids got to touch a baby shark.
On Friday morning we went to Trafalga for mini golf, laser tag and rides.  That night we went to the Adobe summer party where they had face painting, caricature artists, dinner, cotton candy, and cookies.  We hula hooped, played badminton, and bean bag toss.

On Monday Kevin stayed home and we went back to the pool.  Tuesday is back to school.  It's been a really fun summer.

Secret Lake

Saturday Kevin took Haley, Logan and Isaac up the Albian Basin to hike to Secret Lake.  Last year they went and the wildflowers were beautiful.  This year they seemed to be a little too late to see them.

The kids all picked a flower to bring home to me.  On the way home they got stopped by a road closure and went back to a ski resort where they took a chair lift ride up the mountain.  The kids had a great time.  Luckily after 2 hours the road opened again.
