My Baby girl is 6

Haley is a beautiful, sweet girl. She is a daddy's girl no doubt. She looks forward to his coming home every day and always wants to talk to him on the phone. She is also definitely an oldest sister. I'm already having to remind her she's not the mom. She is extremely well behaved at school, her teacher has told me several times she wishes all her students were like Haley. She is very into doing what is right and will tell you EVERY little thing she does wrong. She likes to color and paint. She is in dance class and getting ready for her first recital. She has asked all the girls at school if they want to be her friend. She does well in school and loves to do her homework. We love having her around and I'm not looking forward to her being in school all day next year. It's going to be really hard.

Haley had her first "friend" birthday party this year.

We started by decorating some party bags.

We also had a big bounce house with a slide.

Kevin (who came home from work early for the party) played Simon Says and Duck Duck Goose with the girls.

Having birthday cake.

Opening her birthday presents. The friend who was giving her the present sat with her while she opened it. It helped to keep everyone from crowding too much.

Breaking open the pinata, this is why they decorated the bags. Uncle Dallin had fun making the pinata swing from the top. Notice, in the background, how huge the bounce house was.

On her actual birthday with her family presents.
Thanks to daddy for coming home early and providing entertainment, Aunt Melinda for helping to run the party and bringing Jenna and Lauri, and Uncle Dallin and Aunt Katie for being here and helping with the pinata.

4 years old

Logan is 4 years old. Sometimes 4 years seems like such a long time, and sometimes yet so short. He is such a smart boy. Sometimes too smart. He can argue you to death and most of the time he has a good point. He is hyper, loves to jump, loves to climb, can't sit still for his life. But he is incredibly sweet. Always looking out for everyone else. Anytime he gets something, he always wants to give it to someone else. 99% of the time he does so well with his egg allergy. He wants us to have things even though he can't. In one minute he makes smile and the next he can drive me nuts. Then he flashes me his famous smile, and I just melt. His favorite saying right now is "I'm not having any fun today, you know what would make it better....." then he fills in the blank. He is a joy in our house.

For Logan's birthday our family, Melinda, Jenna, and Lauri went to Chuck e cheese.

Logan with all his presents and all his girls, plus Ike.

Opening his presents, wearing the helmet Aunt Melinda gave him.

Opening the present from us. A gi joe outfit he's been wanting.

all dressed up in his GI Joe stuff.

I made Logan cookie bowls and then we had ice cream sundaes.

These are the presents he picked out to buy with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's birthday money. Rollerskates, a harmonica (because daddy has one) and a ball.

Easter

We colored easter eggs on Friday night.

Our hands were colored also.

EASTER MORNING

Checking out the air hockey table the Easter bunny brought them.

The rest of their loot.

Playing with the bubbles they got.

Derek chilling on Easter Morning, sporting his BYU gear.

Easter egg hunt in the backyard. (don't you like the Spiderman bag instead of baskets)

Nathan, Uncle Dallin, and Aunt Katie came in from California Saturday night, and celebrated Easter with us.

Tiffany and David came over for Easter dinner and brought these light sabers for the kids. They were very excited.

Dallin and Logan playing with the Easter grass.

One day I threw away an empty bag of cookies and next thing I know I'm walking up the stairs and Isaac is walking down all red. He had eaten all the crumbs out of the bag.
His hands covered with sprinkles.
His messy cookie face.
One night while getting ready for dinner Haley decided she wanted to set the table all fancy. Here are the results of her labor..
Daddy time.

dressed for church.

I took Logan shopping the other day for some new church shoes, and he ended up picking out these clothes. He loves plaid shorts. He didn't want to go shopping with me and about half way through, I said "see going clothes shopping with mommy is fun" and he said "Yeah I like going clothes shopping, but with daddy."

Ah...an actual picture of just the two of us. The two of us at the Elite eight game.

When we got back from the game we found the kids sleeping in Logan's bed like this. (Notice Logan's arm)
