Yuma Day 5

Today we swam with the kids.  We were trying to teach Isaac how to swim and felt successful when we got him to swim across the pool with a raft.  (We really traumatized him the day before on the river) 

 Ty really wanted to be in the water, but it was a little too cold for him, so he preferred having me float him around the pool.

We were supposed to go to the Yuma County Fair tonight but on the way there, Haley said her stomach really hurt, so we turned around and went home.  It was a good thing, because she, Dan, and Lauri all ended up sick that night.  When we got home, Dan put up his projector outside and we watched Wreck it Ralph.

Yuma Day 4

 My little Isaac is obsessed with time so we bought him this watch with Aunt Lisa's birthday money.

We floated down the Colorado river today and unfortunately we don't have any pictures.  The water was nice, it was shallow enough that Logan could walk,  there was very little current and Isaac HATED it.  He had his own little raft that he could lay down in and at first he seemed ok, but then he started to float away on his own before we were ready and that was when he started to get nervous.  I held onto his raft the whole time and he never relaxed.  He kept saying "I want to get back to my old friend, I miss my friend.  Who is your friend Isaac?  The land I want my land."  I was also holding Tyler so there was not much I could do to help him.  I kept trying to get him comfortable and then his leg cramped up and he was MISERABLE.  The rest of us enjoyed it.
After we got home Kevin, Haley, Dan and Jenna went exploring.

Yuma Day 3-Yuma Prison and Colorado River

 Monday morning Melinda and I hiked up Telegraph pass.  As you can tell you, it was pretty high up.

 We then took the kids to the Yuma Jail.

 I'm pretty sure he did do it.

 Then off to the Colorado River to do some swimming.  The water was a perfect temperature.  The kids absolutely loved it.

I tried to keep Ty out of the water, but he wasn't having any of it.  It was a great day.

YUMA day 2--Easter Sunday

Our second day in Yuma was Easter Sunday.  We went to church with the Meyers family.  Derek didn't quite make it. 

 Then back to the house for a hot Easter egg hunt.

Yuma-day 1 THE DRIVE

We spent spring break in Yuma with the Meyers Family.  We left Friday afternoon and spent the night in St. George and then Saturday morning it was off to Yuma.  We stopped at a rest area and the kids climbed a tree for pictures.  Once Haley was up there we couldn't get her to turn around for the pictures.

 We stopped in Vegas to eat lunch at Chevy's with Aunt Kati.

 Next stop the London Bridge in Havasu.

 It was HOT.  Seeing it was still winter in Utah, it took a little adjusting.

So we stopped for ice cream and to play at McDonalds.
